A man who admitted to driving offences and theft has been banned from entering Swindon.

Scott Lippiatt, of South Liberty Lane, Bristol, pleaded guilty to driving without a licence or insurance on the M4 on January 15.

The 23-year-old also admitted to stealing two motorbikes and equipment in Swindon on the same day.

Then the next day, January 16, he admits he drove a Citroen Berlingo dangerously on the M4.

He pleaded guilty to the four offences at Swindon Crown Court on April 26.Swindon Advertiser: Scott Lippiatt, 23, of South Liberty Lane, Bristol

Lippiatt is also accused of two thefts from January 15 and going equipped for theft of a vehicle, which he pleaded not guilty to.

In one theft it is alleged that he stole tools worth £1,500 pounds, including a Paslode nail gun, Makita angle grinder and batteries in Swindon.

In the other theft, he is said to have Makita power tools worth £470, again in Swindon from a different person.

The last offence, going equipped for theft, also happened in Swindon.

Judge Townsend imposed a disqualification order on Lippiatt for the dangerous driving offence and gave conditional bail.

The conditions are not to enter Swindon except for court hearings or travelling on the M4 or A419.

He also has a daily curfew of 5pm to 6am and is banned from contacting certain people.

He will be sentenced in Swindon Crown Court on June 21 after a pre-sentencing report has been prepared.
