Wedding gift specialist Prezola confirmed its position at the top of the market at the Wedding Ideas Awards recently by winning the Best Gift List of 2014.

Held at the prestigious Guoman Tower Hotel in London, the annual Wedding Ideas Awards recognise excellence in the wedding industry.

Prezola, currently based in Trowbridge, was one of the five final nominees voted for brides and grooms, alongside companies such as John Lewis and notonthehighstreet.com.

The judges were influential figures in the wedding field and Prezola was awarded Best Gift List of 2014, beating John Lewis.

Dom Beaven, who co-founded Prezola with wife Ali, said: “We were delighted to win the award as it was a long process.

“To find out that we were in the top 10 was good, but for the public to vote us into the top three and then for us to win was great.

“It always validates what you are doing when you do well in a public vote... and our level of growth combined with the service we offer led to us coming out on top.

“We are growing very rapidly and that indicates that there was a gap in the market for a new business in an industry usually dominated by department stores.

“The combination of my background in publishing and Ali’s background in interior design is key to our understanding.”

Launched in 2011, Prezola has become a leading gift list registry – combining gifts, honeymoon funds, cash contributions and charity donations in one list.

Prezola impressed the judging panel with its sustained growth and ability to offer big name brands like The White Company, Selfridges and Wedgwood alongside boutique and quirky retailers.

Prezola is moving to bigger premises in Eden Vale Road, Westbury in the coming weeks. See www.
