THE Swindon Priority Crime Team is appealing for information regarding an attempted robbery where the victim managed to escape an attacker armed with a knife.

The incident occurred in the area of Chervil Close at around 10pm on Friday, March 28, when an 18-year-old local man was walking along the footpath leading from Chervil Close towards Mallow Close.

He was approached by a man with a knife but kicked out at him and was able to run away to safety. The victim was not injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, aged in his late teens to early twenties and was wearing a grey/blue hooded top and similar tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone who has information regarding the identity of the suspect or was in the area at the time is asked to contact DC Claire Smith at the Swindon Priority Crime Team on 101.
