The owner of a new Trowbridge electronics and homeware store GU Digital & Lifestyle say the store is already popular, thanks to competitively priced gadgets, gizmos, electronic devices and homeware products.

Daniel Mead, a former Matravers School pupil from Southwick, opened the new shop in Castle Street at the beginning of June, after seeing a gap in the market following HJ Knee moving out of the town centre.

The shop stocks action cameras, audio equipment from top brands, sat navs and GPS devices, as well as accessories, outdoor equipment and homeware, such as toasters and coffee machines.

Mr Mead said the store bought its stock in bulk, allowing it to sell products from top brands at reasonable prices.

He said: “We sell a wide range of electronic goods, such as action cameras, and we sell many of the top brands. We also do some homeware as we saw a gap in the market when Knee’s moved.

“Our prices are very good as we buy our stock in bulk, which means our prices are cheaper than anywhere else in the area. We have been busy since opening, but we are yet to push the advertising side yet.

“We are still getting a feel for what people want at the moment and we want to tailor our stock to what people are after.

“Our prices are outrageous and people are already coming in and seeing how good they are.

“The feedback has been really good and those who have come in have said how nice the store looks, as it’s clean, bright and open plan.

“The main thing everyone has commented on, though, is the prices.”
