Councillor Judy Rose will represent Devizes Town Council at the planning appeal inquiry by St Mary’s Parochial Church Council.
The PCC was refused planning permission by Wiltshire Council for a cloister-style extension, in New Park Street, despite widespread support by the public.
The inquiry is on August 6.
