Scout Daniel Scott was joined by his dad as they got their heads shaved to raise money for the youngsters to go to the World Jamboree.
Devizes Scout Daniel, 12, has been organising events to raise the £3,500 he needs to go to Japan next summer.
His father, Andy Baugh, arranged for him to have the head shave at town salon Kadiem and joined him when colleagues at Computacentre doubled their sponsorship.
Daniel, who lives with his dad in London Road, Devizes, and his mum in Aaron Way, Highworth, is one of 27 Scouts selected to represent Wiltshire at the Jamboree.
The shave raised more than £500, taking Daniel’s total so far to above £2,000.
Daniel, a member of 1st Redlands troop in Highworth, said: “I feel so grateful to everyone that helped and sponsored me. I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support. The head shave was amazing.”
Mr Baugh said: “I’m delighted to have been part of Daniel’s fundraising, but I can’t wait for my hair to grow back, as I feel I now look like Humpty Dumpty.”
