A festival at The Waterfront in Pewsey raised spirits and funds as music lovers donated more than £600 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Revellers listened to live music from No Fixed Abode and The Vooz at the Rhythm and Booze Beer Festival along Pewsey Wharf last month.

They also enjoyed a selection of tipples with 15 real ales and three ciders available at the outside bar as well as an all-day barbecue.

Last Wednesday landlord Nigel Wallace, his partner Nicky Rouse and business partner and chef Carl Games handed over the cheque for £627 to Air Ambulance volunteer Tracey Pullen.

The cash was raised through ticket sales and a raffle, which included a host of prizes such as a meal for two at the Wharf, a strimmer and two tickets to Pewsey Music Festival.

Mr Wallace said: “Wiltshire Air Ambulance is vital in this area. We never know when we might need it and, conscious that the service is entirely reliant on donations, our customers decided to do their bit and really threw themselves into making this a worthwhile fundraiser.”
