CYCLING enthusiast Robert Rowe, who turned a passion into a business, is celebrating moving into a new and bigger showroom.

Mr Rowe, 39, from Devizes, has just moved his bike business Finely Tuned Ride (FTR) into new premises in Urchfont and can now keep new lines of stock and display more cycles.

The former aircraft licence engineer said: "I have over 25 years of cycling experience, from riding and racing and working with people in the cycling trade.

"Finely Tuned Ride was started six years ago. I have such a passion for the sport and cycling as a whole.

"Cycling has giving me so much over the past 25 years and I like to pass some of that knowledge and passion onto others, so they can enjoy this great sport and pastime as well."

Mr Rowe has taken on an extra employee Jonathan Wickham to cope with the extra trade he expects the new show room to generate and the growing demand for the services his company offers.

He said: "FTR also has Qualified Cytech mechanic, Bikeability instructor, mountain bike skills instructor and sky ride leader so FTR can help customers with bike set up to rider confidence and skill development.

"Over the last six years FTR had the pleasure to work with all sorts of cyclists male and female from new/novice, club level up to national championships, world championship and even Olympian level riders.

"With sales increasing year on year, it was a natural progression for FTR to expand its range of parts and accessories as well as moving into selling more complete bikes as demand in this area from customers new and old is ever-increasing.

"We have added the Lapierre bike brand to the two great British brands Cotic and Kinesis bikes to cover all types of budgets and types of cycling.

"Finely Tuned Ride is a pure cycling shop. We don't do any other sports which I think helps to be known for our great service, cycling knowledge, experience and passion in all types of cycling disciplines.

"FTR is also female friendly and has worked with experienced female cyclists, so getting their feedback on products and set up that work for women and adding that to the knowledge and experience that FTR all ready has, has been great.

"FTR has even invested in some demo female saddles as well as investing in other demo items for customer to try before buying."
