Restaurateur Stewart Shape will open his new pizzeria and deli in Malmesbury on October 29.
After months of eager anticipation and a £150,000 revamp, Mr Shape will open The Bird Cage in Oxford Street for all to see, albeit a few months later than planned.
Mr Shape, who is also a town councillor, said: “We wanted to do it properly and get it looking how we want it too, or not do it at all.
“The oven is in and we managed to get who we wanted in the kitchen, a fantastic pizzaiola, Marco Brandao from London.”
Work has been taking place all summer in the restaurant, which is at the top of the High Street opposite the Market Cross, including wall paintings and individually restored chairs.
Mr Shape is employing about 20 people from the Malmesbury area.
The restaurant will open from 11am-10pm, while the deli will open from 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
