IT was lights, camera, action in Marlborough at the weekend as former army reservist Connor Richardson worked on his feature film highlighting the difficulties for members of the Armed Forces returning to civilian life.

The 22-year-old began Chosen when he left Swindon’s Royal Yeomanry Territorial Army Squadron after five years of service.

The project follows the life of protagonist Alex and draws on 22-year-old Mr Richardson’s own experience. Filming started in October and the shoot this weekend was the first time that the majority of the cast was able to come together.

Mr Richardson said: “It’s been difficult to get everyone together and even this weekend.

“The cameraman (Gary Haughton) has been an absolute hero.”

Amateur actor Mr Richardson, who plays Alex, is hoping to premiere Chosen in Marlborough in November 2014 and the money from ticket sales will be donated to a military charity.
