MUM-of-two Sheryl Henderson was the first to enter the Mad March Hare 2014 earlier this year.

The 37-year-old from North Swindon, first started running in June 2012 and first took part in a running event in last year’s Mad March Hare.

Her completion of the five kilometre run and support from the youngsters at Bridlewood Primary School inspired her to take on more challenges, and next year Sheryl plans to take on the 10 kilometre distance.

She said: “I highly recom-mend the Mad March Hare for families and beginners because of the fun, the informal atmosphere, the route which does not involve too many hills, and the chance to aid a very worthy cause.”

The annual event, which is organised by volunteers, has raised more than £70,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer over the past six years.

Next year the run will take place on March 23 at Lydiard Park Academy, and take runners on a route around West Swindon.
