A spring fair in Cherhill will raising money for the restoration and maintenance of the village church of St James, which is believed to date from the 12th century.

The fair, at the village hall, will feature arts, crafts and jewellery.

It will take place on Saturday, February 8, from 10am to 1pm and tables to sell goods are available to book at £10.

Shauna Bodman, chairman of the organising committee, said: “A highlight will be an exhibition of paintings by local artists with works for sale.

“We think it will give an opportunity for local artists to sell their work and raise money for the church too.”
