PROSPECT Hospice is to stage its annual Walk Of Memories on Sunday, March 9, The Walk Of Memories this year takes place at Buscot Park, near Faringdon, which will open especially for the event. It is ordinarily closed until later in the spring.

“We are delighted that this year’s Walk of Memories will be held at Buscot Park, and are very grateful that Lord Faringdon has made his grounds available to us for the occasion,” said Prospect Hospice events fundraiser Genevieve Arney.

Among those taking part this year are Phil Hall, from Grange Park, who will be walking again in memory of his late wife Dawn, who spent her final days at the hospice.

“I have taken part in the event in each of the last two years, and I feel that it is the very least I can do,” he said.

“Dawn’s last eight days included her 60th birthday which, in spite of her failing health, the Prospect Hospice team made into a really lovely occasion.

“I will always be very grateful to them for it.”
