Residents and businesses in Bradford on Avon are keeping a watchful eye on the River Avon after heavy rainfall over the weekend has caused water levels to rise once more this morning.
The newly installed webcam has been updating the town hourly but the B3106 Starverton to Holt is already closed this morning due to flooding and more significant rainfall is expected later today and tomorrow.
Tom Vaughton, of Varn Media, who came up with the idea for the camera, said: “People are rather jumpy because of what has happened in the last month.
"Even though the river dropped, every time it rains people are concerned.
“The weather forecast for the next 24/48 hours is not too good so we are going to update the webcam every 10 minutes.”
