Costa Coffee’s second shop in Devizes will open on Saturday.
The coffee chain is opening in the former Polly Tea Rooms and Scrummylicious shop on the corner of the Market Place and Snuff Street.
It will be in addition to Costa’s shop in The Brittox, Devizes.
Manager of the new Costa shop Brian Ancrum said: “The new Costa Coffee will become a focal point for people in Devizes to come and experience great coffee in a friendly and relaxed environment.
“The store will add to the social atmosphere in town, becoming a hub for the whole community.
“My plan is also to introduce some evenings for groups, for example a sewing or knitting group, music nights and perhaps even poetry.”
The new coffee shop has eight staff and the company has distributed buy one get one free vouchers to 10,000 households in Devizes in advance of the opening which will be performed by Devizes mayor Pete Smith at 10am on Saturday.
