Flog It! star pitches in for Keevil scarecrow trail

TV presenter Paul Martin has joined forces with artist Joanna May and sculptor Eleanor O’Brien to promote the sixth annual Keevil scarecrow festival.

Mr Martin, who presents BBC’s antiques show Flog It! and lives in nearby Seend Cleeve, dropped by for a photocall to promote the event which takes place over the weekend of May 17 and 18 and which will raise funds for Keevil Primary School.

Charlotte Godfrey, one of the festival organisers, said: “This year’s theme is historical British figures.

“Joanna May and Eleanor O’Brien are making scarecrows, and Paul Martin has also agreed to open the trail for us on the Saturday.”

A £100 prize will be awarded for the first correct solution drawn, and there will also be a children’s trail.

The trail will be open from 10am-4pm each day.
