Trowbridge preservation technician Simon Colderick has been honoured by a national trade body at a top industry event.
The 30-year-old was named Qualified Technician Student of the Year at the Property Care Association (PCA) annual awards.
The accolade, sponsored by Stallard Kane, was presented by Technician’s Examiner Peter Macdonald at the sixth annual event, held at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
Simon received a framed certificate along with an Apple iPad and a bottle of champagne.
Chief executive of the PCA Steve Hodgson said: “Simon’s consistent drive to achieve has shown through his studies and reflects the level of expertise we encourage throughout the industry.”
Mr Colderick works as a technician at Complete Preservation, based in North Bradley, Trowbridge, a family company that specialises in remedial preservation works to buildings.
He said: “As a newcomer to the industry – having only worked at Complete Preserva-tion for 18 months – it is a real honour to have won this award and it has given me a real confidence boost.”
