Under-fire Ranger: 'I'm like Marmite'

SWINDON player Nile Ranger yesterday attended a disciplinary hearing at the club following a number of high-profile incidents.
Although the club were remaining tight-lipped on the outcome, Ranger himself implied that he was still employed by the club through social media.
On his Instagram account he posted a picture of himself in the Winners Lounge and said “IM LIKE MARMITE #LoveMeOrHateMe #EitherWayImStillGettinPaid 100.
Earlier on, he posted on his Twitter account: “God didn’t put me on this earth to b liked “ImDoingMe”
On Tuesday, the 23-year-old appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court charged with causing damage to a door and wall at Gordon Gardens, where the striker lives.
He pleaded not guilty and will face trial in July having been released on conditional bail.
Following his most recent arrest, many fans have said the time has come for the player to leave the club.
In an online Adver poll, a total of 68 per cent of people said the club should sack him.
Despite the public pressure, the player has remained defiant.
On Tuesday he put another picture on Instagram of an Adver board (left), which read ‘Ranger gives himself up to police.’ With the picture, he said: “Would have thought I was bin laden.”
