A SINGLE barrelled shotgun has been pulled from a pond in Ramsbury where officers have found items belonging to murdered Sian O’Callaghan.
Sian, 22, was killed by mini-cab driver Christopher Halliwell with a single stab wound to the head in 2011. Her body was found in Uffington.
Yesterday, officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team found a ‘left’ boot at the site. And today, search teams found the ‘right’ boot believed to be Sian’s.
In addition, at approximately 4pm, officers found the shotgun.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said detectives are keeping an open mind as to why the gun would be in this location.
Searches are set to continue over the weekend with fingertip searches and a specialist dive team from Avon and Somerset.
