An inquest into the death of 32-year-old Tom Edwards will take place at Salisbury Coroner’s Court on Friday June 6.

Mr Edwards, from Derry Hill, went missing after a night out in Swindon last June 28 and was found after a five-day search by friends, family and police on July 3.

He disappeared from Rudi’s bar around 10pm. The last people to see him were two police officers, who dropped him off at a bus stop by the Swindon Designer Outlet.

But when police scanned CCTV footage at Swindon railway station he was seen boarding the 11.21pm train to Bristol Temple Meads. His body was found close to the railway line between Chippenham and Bath.

Wiltshire Police notified the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which is standard procedure.

In December his family also lodged a complaint with the IPCC about Wiltshire Police action in the initial stages of his disappearance.
