Plans for a new pub on the eastern edge of Melksham have moved one step closer, after the development was awarded a licence to serve alcohol.
Developers Pegasus, along with Marstons brewery, have submitted plans for six shops and a new family pub on Cranesbill Road, to serve the growing estate on the edge of town.
Planning permission has yet to be approved for the development, but at a meeting of Wiltshire Council’s Western area licensing sub committee on Tuesday, May 20, the pub’s licence was approved.
The pub, which will cater for up to 150 diners and include a children’s play area, will be able to serve alcohol between 10am and midnight from Mondays to Thursdays, until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11am to midnight on Sundays.
