Football fanatic Justin Cook will be keeping readers up to date with all the World Cup action on a Gazette internet blog when he flies out to Brazil this week.

Mr Cook, 42, owner of Marlborough taxi business Arrow Private Hire, will be flying to Brazil on Sunday.

He said: “I decided to attend this magical festival of football as soon as England qualified and have been slowly saving the pennies for the last seven months.

“To say I am excited is an understatement. I want to give all the folks of Wiltshire a taste of Brazil 2014 so everyone keep your fingers crossed for the boys and long may their tournament run.”

Mr Cook doesn’t fancy England’s chances of lifting the cup but is hopeful that they will make it out of the group stages.

He said: “Luke Shaw is a fantastic prospect but is yet to be tested on the big stage.

“The midfield is oozing talented youth and with the stewardship of Steven Gerrard I believe that Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling will make a huge impact.”
