A teenager has been arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent following an assault in Trowbridge yesterday.
Two 17-year-olds were involved in the altercation in Seymour Road, shortly before 3pm, which resulted in one of them being airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene, along with the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, which landed at Trowbridge Cricket Club before flying on to the Bristol hospital.
The teenager suffered serious leg lacerations but is in a stable condition.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
