New Bromham carnival queen Charday Perry, 15, is following in the footsteps of elder sister Dayna.
And Dayna, 18, will be able to pass on tips to her sister, as she was chosen as the queen’s attendant this time.
Matthew Miller, nine, will be the prince, while brother Joshua, seven, is his attendant.
Royals were picked last Friday and, although entries were down on previous years, carnival secretary Jenna Humphries was pleased with the turnout.
The only category that had no entries was young prince.
She said: “The evening was well attended by parents and supporters, but entries seem to be dwindling. We are keen to keep the tradition going.”
Carnival fortnight started with a well-attended performance by the Mangled Wurzels on Saturday night at the Bromham Social Centre.
A pet show, on Sunday at the Millennium Field, attracted 100 entries, up on last year. Best in show was Jean Turner’s dog, Tommy, and reserve best in show was Sarah Humphries’s dog, Freya.
Monday's pubathalon at the Owl had 30 entrants, up on last year, playing traditional pub games including table skittles, darts and shove-halfpenny.
