Real ale enthusiast Judy Waller has won a Wadworth competition for brewing her perfect pint.
Her beer, Honey Bear Hops, came top in Wadworth’s first create your perfect pint contest.
Customers were asked to submit ideas for a name and recipe, with more than 40 entries submitted.
Ms Waller’s ingredients, including honey and ginger, won her the prize of a visit to the Devizes brewery to help Wadworth’s master brewers make the beer, as well as seeing it sold in selected Wadworth managed pubs to mark Cask Ale Week, from Thursday to October 5.
Ms Waller, who lives in Linwood in Hampshire, said: “Taking part in the brewing process was an amazing experience.
“I look forward to sampling a pint (or two) in my local – for quality control of course.’’ Ms Waller also received four mini casks of her winning ale and a souvenir pump clip.
