Don't miss out on these events this weekend in Wiltshire: 

1/ Meet Red Dwarf's Chris Barrie and other stars at the first Chippenham Sci-Fi Fun Day on Saturday, from 10.30am-4pm at the Neeld Hall in association with the Gazette & Herald.

Tickets are £4 for adults, £3 for children aged five to 16 with family tickets at £16. Under fives are admitted free.

2/ A poppy trail around the village of Rowde, near Devizes, marks the centenary of the start of the First World War. Villagers have created poppies of all shapes and sizes.

Leaflets showing the walk route will be available from the school office or the village shop until November 12.  The £1 cost will be donated to the Royal British Legion.

3/ Warminster Carnival takes place on Saturday with more than 70 entries leaving Warminster Conservative Club in Boreham Road from 7pm.

The parade ends at The Obelisk in Silver Street. Roads will be closed from 4pm will reopen at 9pm. East Street, Market Place, High Street and George Street will also be affected.

4/ The clocks go back an hour on Sunday at 2am.

At 11am runners set out from Calne Leisure Centre in the Calne Clock Change Challenge 10K event.

Cheer on the competitors even if you don't feel like taking part!

5/ Sunday is pumpkin day at the Brewery Inn, Seend Cleeve.

Pumpkins must be displayed by 1.30pm with judging due to take place at 2pm.

It's not all about size as this year there is a category for the best carved pumpkin.
