AN intrepid team from Bag4Sport Foundation took on the might of Ben Nevis to raise money to help our Stars of Tomorrow campaign.

Bag4Sport Foundation director Andy Trusler was joined by Paul Buckingham and fitness instructors Chauntine Lyons and Vicky Baldy from Route2Fitness gym, Devizes, for the Ben Nevis Challenge to help raise money to make the grants possible.

They first climbed the mountain then cycled 25 miles before canoeing across Loch Lochy.

Bag4Sport Foundation raises money to help grass root sport and talented individuals reach their potential and the Gazette & Herald has joined forces with the Devizes charity to give a cash boost to the sporting career of six youngsters.

There is still plenty of time to nominate a youngster aged 16 or under who you believe has potential to reach the top in their chosen sport.

They can be an individual athlete or part of a team. Last year the winners included track athletes, a tennis player, a golfer, cyclist, and a soft ball player.

All entries must be received by July 31.

Last year grants of £500 were given to three winners and £100 to three runners-up and the charity will do the same again for 2014 to help youngsters who need financial help with coaching, kit or travelling costs.

We will need to know why they need help and their achievements to date.

Any youngster up to the age of 16 can be nominated but they must not already be receiving a Lottery grant.

We will pick one winner and one runner-up from each of the three edition areas – Devizes, Marlborough and North Wiltshire – of the Gazette & Herald.

Fill in the form in this week's Gazette & Herald or see bag4sport.co.uk or email foundation@bag4sport.co.uk
