DOWIE Norman Passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short illness on 15th March 2017, aged 86 years. Reunited with his beloved wife Mary. Funeral service on 7th April at St Johns Church, Cavendish Square at 1pm, followed by burial at Kingsdown Cemetery. Flowers welcome or donations in lieu for Prospect Hospice. Very fond memories of Norman from the Green Baize snooker club, very good snooker coach who taught many young and old players alike the basics of snooker, condolences and thoughts to Norman's family

My dear friend Norrie, it seems our families knew each other for decades. You and my Papa tought me how to play snooker all them years ago in Buckland Close. You are now reunited with Maimie. My thoughts and love go out to all the girls and boys, ( and there was a lot ) and all of their offsprings as well, also a lot. I will try and be there as I was for Maimies. My mum and dad were great friends with all of you. We were fae Glasgow and you fae Edinburgh side.
