Harry Potter returning to Lacock
The world's most famous wizard is returning to Lacock to film new and exciting scenes for the forthcoming sure-to-be-blockbuster movie, Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince.
In the latest cinematic reincarnation of the popular children's books, we pick up with Harry battling arch enemy Lord Voldemort who is continuing his open reign of terror.
Warner Brothers, the makers of the film series, want to use Lacock as a location for certain scenes, as they did with the first two films when the Abbey's cloisters were used as a setting for Hogwart's wizard school.
The crew are set to return in the autumn and this time the focus is on the parts of the village close to The Angel and Church Street and the Abbey Cloisters will be used if the weather is bad.
The site location fee will be split equally between the parish council and the National Trust and individual household will receive an inconvenience payment.
