YOUNG people with Trowbridge-based charity Amber welcomed an MP on board their narrow boat the Mary Rose.
West Wilts MP Dr Andrew Murrison stepped on board the vessel for a short trip through the locks near Semington.
Young people being helped by the charity showed their guest the technicalities of sailing the boat and safety issues involved with navigating through a lock.
The Mary Rose was donated to the charity, which has a lodge in Bythesea Road, three years ago and is used every week as part of a rehabilitation programme.

After the visit Dr Murrison said: "I've been hugely impressed with Amber's work over the past few years and it's been a great pleasure to visit the canal boat and see what benefits it can bring to young people in terms of confidence and team building."
