Lions secure fundraising day at Castle Combe
CHIPPENHAM Lions Club has secured a major fund-raising opportunity at a top race day at Castle Combe circuit this summer.
The club, which hopes to raise £20,000 this year, has been allocated the MG Raceday on September 13, one of the most popular events on the circuit's motorsport calendar.
Their inclusion means eight leading charities will benefit from major events at the racing circuit this season.
The other nominated charities range from the child cancer charity CLIC and Meningitis research to the RNLI and St John Ambulance.
These are in addition to the local charities and good causes who rely on the support of the circuit for their major fund-raising opportunities at the eight massive car boot sales which are the largest of their kind in the South West.
