Price ready to beat old mates
Ollie Price will have no qualms adding to Mangotsfield United's relegation woes on tomorrow.
The Chippenham Town defender moved from Cossham Street last summer and has enjoyed a successful season with the Bluebirds.
He has become a mainstay at the back recently and is prepared to sacrifice the Mangos, who sit third from bottom, for his own promotion ambitions.
"When the fixtures were released it was the first one I looked for so it would be nice to go there and rub salt in the wounds," said the 25-year-old.
"I don't want to see them go down but our main aim is the three points.
"It is a derby, anything can happen on the day and if we play like we did against Gloucester then they won't live with us."
Price will also be looking to net his first goal for the Bluebirds - he is the only permanent outfield member of the squad who hasn't scored this season.
He said: "I haven't scored yet so it would be nice to break the duct against them on Saturday."
Now though, Price believes the fourth placed Bluebirds need two more wins to secure a play-off berth - although they cannot expect to get a home tie.
"I would need another couple of wins to cement our play-off place," he said.
"It is the old cliché, we are taking one game at a time. Adie hasn't set any targets but obviously we want five out of five.
"Losing against Merthyr Tydfil last week means we probably haven't got a choice about where we will finish.
"It is a case of getting into them and then worrying about who we are going to face.
"If we got two wins over Easter we could have said we can target second or third to get the home advantage."
