Crabtree breaks Bremhill View duck

ANDY Crabtree broke a managerial duck as his Frome Town side narrowly beat
Calne Town 1-0 in the Toolstation League Premier Division at Bremhill View
on Tuesday night.
Crabtree had never won at Bremhill View as a manager, and only tasted
victory there once as a player.
The in-form Mark Salter struck the all-important goal midway through the
second half.
After 65 minutes Simeon Allison sped down the left flank and his centre was
converted by Salter for his fourth goal in two games.
Crabtree said: "It's not my favourite ground in the world, it's not the
happiest of hunting grounds for Frome or myself. It wasn't the best of games
but I think we did enough to deserve the win. We ground out a result and
considering we didn't have four players and were down to the bare bones, it
was a good win for us."
Calne boss Robbie Lardner said: "We didn't really create many chances, if
any. If you don't create chances you don't deserve to win games of football.
"It was a tight affair but I think on the run of play they probably deserved
to win. It was always going to be a tough game and we competed without ever
being a threat."
