Truro City 1, Melksham Town 3
MELKSHAM came close to causing a big upset at Truro City before eventually
going down to the Toolstation League Premier Division leaders.
Melksham led for much of the game but conceded three goals in the final 20
minutes to lose 3-1.
Dave Percival scored after 25 minutes and it stayed at 1-0 until midway
through the second half when Truro levelled.
The Cornish outfit then converted a disputed penalty and added a third soon
after to make the points safe.
It got worse for Melksham when Greg Tindle was sent off for two yellow cards
as the away side's frustration boiled over.
Melksham boss Kelvin Highmore said: "For 70 minutes we were absolutely
superb. We should have been 2-0 up before they scored.
"We showed a bit of naivete and it cost us but for 70 minutes I couldn't ask
no more of the lads."
