TO celebrate a birthday a group of friends and I decided to pop into Prezzo in Marlborough for a bite to eat.

The restaurant has a modern feel and is very spacious and well laid out.

It wasn’t very busy when we arrived so we were quickly seated by a very friendly waitress.

Browsing through the menu there was plenty of options, we were using a lunch voucher which limited what we could have but we were still spoilt for choice.

I opted for lobster and crab tortelli with spinach and red chilli in a saffron sauce and it was delicious.

The fish was very flavoursome and the sauce had a sweet taste which contrasted nicely with the chillies.

My friend Archie decided to combine two of his favourite foods, pulled pork and pizza.

He had never tried the combination before but thought it worked well and would definitely have it again.

Kimberly went for the wild mushroom girasole with buffalo mozzarella, pesto, cherry tomatoes and rocket which she described as ‘really yummy’ but a bit too greasy.

The birthday girl Jane chose asparagus and mascarpone panciotti with red onion, spinach, peas, broccoli, leeks and parsley in a bella lodi cheese sauce and thought it was very enjoyable.

The offer gave us two of the meals for £2.50 and with four soft drinks and olives the bill came to £42.30 which seemed reasonable as we all left with full bellies and smiling faces.
