Booking some of the best tribute acts in the country adds a new strand to the musical offering at the Prestbury Sportsbar in The Close, Warminster, which has been quietly building up its reputation as a music venue.

In the next six months All You Need Is The Beatles, Navi, who bills himself as the world’s No 1 Michael Jackson impersonator, and The Beached Boys will hit their stage.

“The Who, Abba and Elvis tribute nights proved very popular so we have booked some more famous tribute bands,” explained owner Nick Pitcher.

“Also coming on the tribute front is Ed Sheeran, Bon Jovi and Lady GaGa. Saturday live bands are continuing, as they are also very succesful.”

Advance tickets for the three big acts are available now from the venue, at £7.50, while entry to the Saturday night gigs will continue to be free, as part of the bar’s policy of encouraging local live music. This spring they are mixing local and tribute acts, with some top local names featuring on the bill.

Up this Saturday is Angel Up Front, a rock covers act. March 7 sees an Ed Sheeran tribute act, March 14 is Wrong Jovi, March 21 The Shout, local Brit pop 90s experts and March 28 Mar Lady GaGa.
