Swindon songbird Sarah Covey is in concert on Sunday May 17 to raise funds for her course at the Royal Academy Of Music in London.
Sarah is starting her postgraduate musical theatre programme in September.
On Sunday Sarah will be singing such numbers as Diamond’s Are A Girl's Best Friend, I Dreamed A Dream, a duet with boyfriend Ed LeCoyte called Who Wants To Live Forever. After the interval there will be a taster of Into The Woods with Jack Townsend and the Janice Thompson Performance Trust Young Adult Performers.
Concert for Sarah is at St Barnabas Church in Gorsehill from 7.30pm.
Sarah started performing at the age of 12, and in 2001 began singing lessons with Janice Thompson. Since then she has achieved grade 8 in both singing and musical theatre and most recently passed her diploma in music theatre. She also achieved a National Diploma in BTEC Performing Arts at New College, Swindon.
Sarah was crowned Vocal and Supreme Champion in the Swindon Music Festival in both 2006 and 2008 as well as Best Female Runner up in the national talent show, Live And Unsigned-South Coast Idol in 2007.
She is a member of Salos, and starred as Miss Dorothy in their last production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She is part of The Janice Thompson Performance Trust and lead singer of her own pop band Aspheric.
