LEGENDARY shock-rocker Alice Cooper is getting ready to wow Swindon with his Theatre Of Death at the Oasis on Sunday.
The rocker, whose real name is Vincent Furnier, is known for his theatrical live shows with guillotines, fake blood, electric chairs and snakes.
The original Alice Cooper band broke into the international music mainstream with 1971’s monster hit I’m Eighteen from the album Love It To Death, which was followed by the even bigger single School’s Out in 1972.
This time round, Cooper’s band features long-time regular guitarists Damon Johnson and Keri Kelli, bassist Chuck Garric and Jimmy deGrasso on drums.
Alice, the son of a devout Detroit minister, said: “I always prefer to play theatres because it makes the theatrics of our show so much more intense.
“With this being a new show, with things we've never done before, we're proving that Alice is totally indestructible.”
Another legend will appear in the support act, Man-Raze. The band’s drummer is Paul Cook, founder member of the Sex Pistols.
Sunday night’s show is a sell out.
