Devizes metal band QuarterBlind are to release their second album with a brand new record label Brutal Elite.
Titled The Root of Affliction, the new album picks up where first effort Bleeding the Guilty left off, with thrashy rhythms and addictive melodies.
It will be available from all main retailers including amazon and play.com from September 6.
Guitarist Lee Holden-Rushworth, 28, of Hillier Road, Devizes, said “We are really pleased with the way this album’s turned out and it still has our trademark sound. We’ve made the heavy parts heavier and there is more singing on the second one so the melody is there as well.”
Videos will be filmed for two of the new album tracks, Crown of Thorns and When the Dead Walk the Street.
Both Lee and drummer Ads Chandler, 25, work as recyclers, while bassist Rob Stalham, 33, is a stock controller for Sainsbury’s, Andy Stalham, 28, guitar, works in Hayden’s Bakery and Nathan Hamley, 22, vocals, is a student.
QuarterBlind will showcase the album material in a gig at The Cavalier in Devizes on September 4.
