Getting 12 acts on – and off – stage in 12 hours presented a huge challenge for Daz Gossage, singer and guitarist with The Porn Issue, who took on the task in a bid to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
After a brilliant day on Saturday, he was delighted to realise the event has collected just over £800 for the charity.
It was such a success, with great feedback from performers and the audience, that he is even considering making it an annual event to give local bands a platform as well as fundraising for charity.
Daz said: “The time came and went so quickly, but my god it was an excellent day.
“I’d just like to say a personal thanks to Brian, John, Alex and Jason who did a fantastic job with the sound for the day, Maxxie for looking scary at the door and making sure she got everyone’s money and Gary, who provided the lights, also Sam and John at the Liberal club for letting me use the venue for the day. And of course all the bands, who all turned up on time so the day went smoothly.”
Acts that performed on the day were Hip Route, JC Leonard, Jon and Danny, Recode, The Lyst, Funkinsteins, Dirt Royal, Electric Trash (who are on stage again tonight at The Bell on the Green in Devizes if you missed them here), Bodyglass, Zoidberg and Eye for an Eye.
“I’d really like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart,” Daz added.
