Hopefuls boogie on down to show flare for 70s musicals
DOZENS of people, put on their platform shoes and flares and boogied their way down to the Isis Studios yesterday.
The Empire Theatre Company were holding auditions for their Easter production of Boogie Nights – The Seventies Musical.
Performers of all ages turned out for the auditions to audition for roles in the show which will be coming to the stage of The Wyvern Theatre in April.
Held at the Isis Studios in Stratton Road, auditionees were put though there paces to see if they had the X factor to make it through to the show being taught a song from the show by the musical director and a short piece of choreography.
Rehearsals for the show start on Saturday, March 31 with performances between April 12 and April 14.
