THE Nutty Boys are planning an outing to Westonbirt.
Madness, one of the best-loved British bands of the last 35 years or so, play the National Arboretum, near Tetbury, on Sunday, June 24.
Alongside bands such as The Selecter and The Specials, Madness were a major element of the great Ska revival of the late 1970s and early 1980s, but went on to capture public affection in a way not seen since the days of the Beatles.
Hits such as One Step Beyond, Our House, Baggy Trousers, Embarrassment, Wings Of A Dove, House Of Fun, My Girl and Driving In My Car dominated the charts and are favourite parts of the acclaimed Madness live show to this day.
The Westonbirt concert is part of Forestry Commission Live Music, an independent programme bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship.
Tickets cost £36.50 and go on sale from 9am tomorrow from the Forestry Commission box office. Call 03000 680400 or buy online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
