THE drummer with music legends T-Rex is hoping it will be a family affair when he performs in Swindon next weekend.
Paul Fenton, who has been with the band since the 1970s, said his uncle Tim Kershaw lived here in the town and Tim’s son, Beverly, became a teacher.
The musician said he has not seen his cousin since he was six and is appealing for anyone in the town with information on his whereabouts to get in touch before the band perform at MECA on January 28.
“It would be a nice thing for me, it would be a chance to catch up if I can find him,” he said.
The musician said he would like to organise a reunion while he is in town.
Paul is part of the current line-up of T-Rex, who are keeping the much loved music of founder Marc Bolan alive.
“It would be a nice thing for me, it would be a chance to catch up if I can find him.”

The drummer toured, recorded on albums from Zinc Alloy to Hidden Riders of Tomorrow and played live on TV with Marc back in the 1970s when T-Rex were notching up hit after hit in the UK singles charts.
The current T-Rex got together when Paul met up with Mickey Finn and Jack Green, two more of Bolan’s musicians, at a memorial of the singer’s death and, even after the death of Mickey in 2003, the band have been successfully touring worldwide.
The group will be playing alongside the Boomtown Rats at the MECA, in Regent Circus.
“This is the first time we are playing with the Boomtown Rats but we know their reputation,” said Paul.
“We have toured with Sweet, Slade and many bands from the 1970s and we are looking forward to coming to Swindon.
“I have been to Marlborough before but never to Swindon.”
Tickets for the show cost £14, plus booking fee, and are available from www.swindontickets.co.uk or by calling 01793 495527.
