Blake – a singer/songwriter, not the classical band – has notched up 10 albums in six years and now has new album, Stay Human, on release at a Swindon recording company.
208 Records, based in Purton, has signed Blake Karmatruffle from Bradford on Avon and will release Stay Human this month.
Rob Dady from 208 Records said: “Stay Human is an impassioned work. Its theme is inspired by Vittorio Arrigoni, an Italian peace activist working in the Gaza strip, who was abducted and murdered in April last year. Arrigoni’s message was for people to stay human even in the midst of great suffering and provocation.’’ Despite the intensity Blake’s music, the medleys are big, punchy pop with fuzzy guitars in a shiny 1960s style.
Blake plays live at The Beehive pub, Prospect Hill in Old Town, Swindon on Sunday fom 3pm. It is free entry.
