Swindon’s high energy melodic rock band When Words Fail have scooped a record deal in America.
The five-piece have signed a two-album deal with 3boyz Records in Oregon and will be heading off in May for three months to record the CD which will be on release this summer.
DJ Harman, lead guitarist and vocals, said: “We will be touring the US from west coast to east hitting places like Dallas, Texas, LA, California and New York.’’ The boys will be back in August and then take off on a tour of Europe finishing back in the UK by the end of the year.
Joining DJ in the band are Will Hargreaves on vocals, Dave Garraway on bass, Jaes Broadbank on guitar and Jamie Loddington on drums.
To say farewell to their Swindon fans the boys are playing a few gigs in the town before flying out to the States.
On Saturday When Words Fail will be performing at the newly reopened 12 Bar, Westcott Place as part of a charity gig to raise cash for Cancer Research.
On Sunday they will be at The Furnace nightclub for a Cereal Productions night.
Tickets are £5 in advance from the Commercial Road club.
