Rockin’ all over the world, well at least all over Swindon, when a gaggle of Quo bands drop into town.
The Vic in Old Town hosts Quoincidence, a tribute to the rock giants, as part of Dave and Anna’s birthday bash from 8pm. It is free entry. Riffs Bar, Greatfield near Hook welcomes original Status Quo drummer John Coghlan and his band playing a set of classic Status Quo tunes from 7pm. Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door from 01793 778304.
Status Quo started off in 1962 with Francis Rossi in The Spectres.
Later they became Status Quo when Rick Parfitt and John signed up and the drummer stayed for 20 years notching up such as Caroline, Down Down and Pictures of Matchsticks Men.
