The Phoenix Players will stage Oh What A Lovely War! at the Arts Centre, Devizes Road, Swindon, nightly from Wednesday, September 24 to Saturday, September 27 at 7.30pm.
The production, a satire on the First World War and, by extension, war in general, incorporates facts, statistics, and songs of the era.
This remarkable show, which features a large cast, has become a modern theatrical classic that incorporates a dramatic blend of humour and pathos.
The Phoenix Players, one of the region’s leading amateur dramatic societies, has dedicated this production to all who fought and died in the terrible conflict that was considered, at the time, to be the war to end all wars.
Tickets, £10/£9, are bookable now from 07517 698083.
