Reflections on the First World War is the theme for the second Swindon Recital Series concert this month, at the Arts Centre on November 23.
SRS is proud to welcome back the Heath Quartet, fresh from their debut at New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall. Now firmly established amongst the elite, they return to accompany Royal Opera House baritone Nigel Cliffe, who will be singing songs based on family letters sent from the Front by his great-uncle Private Joe Wood. The composer, Roxanna Pufnik, was featured in the BBC Prom on July 20 when another of her compositions received its European premiere.
Tickets cost £15/£14, students 15-18 years £2.50, accompanied children 14 years and under admitted free, from the arts centre on 01793 524481.
