Budding artists and illustrators are invited to get some tips from the experts on Saturday, when the Brillustration team will be at the opening of the Christmas Art Fair at The Barn gallery in Kington Langley.

The Bristol-based illustration group will be spending the day covering a wall in one of their beautiful Christmas-themed murals, and adults and children are very welcome to come and have a go themselves.

The artists will also being signing a selection of books and chatting to visitors.

Between 11am and 4.30pm you can meet author / illustrators Paula Bowles (Little Lou and the Woolly Mammoth), Sean Julian (Brave Little Owl and My Dad), Mark Sperring (How Many Sleeps Till Christmas? and My Little Star), Lauren Tobia (Anna Hibiscus picture book Baby’s Got the Blues) The Barn Gallery Christmas Exhibition in the gallery at Church Farm, Kington Langley, run by artist Leonora Martin and antique dealer and interior designer Will Bicknell, runs until December 21.

Featuring work by some well known Wiltshire artists such as Celia Smith, from Corsham, whose wire bird sculptures seamlessly capture the character of the bird and Laura Rich, of Mere, who has just completed a series of 62 paintings for the new P&O liner to be launched next year, it has a whole host of artwork perfect for Christmas gifts.

The Barn Gallery aims to exhibit, promote and support all forms of art and rural crafts and especially encourages young and un-established artists. The exhibition space is also used for art workshops.
