Holt Dramatic Society presents:

WHODUNNIT? by Antony Shaffer

Prepare to be bamboozled, appalled, amused and delighted by ‘orrible murders! And more! This adaptation of the fascinating play by the famous playwright Antony Shaffer, writer also of “Sleuth”, is full of unexpected twists and turns, at times hilarious, at others gruesome, a wicked parody of the time-honoured “country house” murder mystery, brought to perfection by Agatha Christie.

Imagine a typical isolated English country house, and the usual house party guests, with all the attitudes of the 1930s, attitudes which we now find almost unbelievable. Ah ha! All is not what it seems. Shaffer skilfully leads us down one path and then another. What begins in comic vein takes a much darker turn, only to take quite unexpectedly a totally different route.

All will be revealed. Will you be able to detect who the murderer is? Can you outwit the murderer? - and the detective?

This intriguing play is directed by Evelyn Bates who is working with HDS for the first time, and is produced by the experienced director /producer Dee Hughes.

Please note the play is NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN
